About

InspiredLife Grand Rapids was founded in 2016 by Kelly Peterson, ND, Mary Johnson, and Chris Wheeler. The conference was designed to inspire individuals throughout West Michigan to transform their lives by providing access to practitioners and resources to help optimize their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual lives.

In 2018, the InspiredLife GR team saw an opportunity for Universal Health Solutions (UHS), a non-profit organization in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to host the conference moving forward. UHS’ mission is to inform, educate, and advocate for increased awareness of and access to integrative health care treatments, and to truly integrate complementary and alternative treatment modalities into the more traditional and mainstream healthcare approaches. UHS is pleased to carry on this important community event!

UHS Story

Universal Health Solutions was founded in 2012 by Laurie Angell, RS, LMT in an effort to bring the medical community together to explore and discuss various modalities of integrative medicine in conjunction with more traditional practices. Laurie believes that our global society enables us to explore other cultures and their healing modalities and give them the credit they deserve.

UHS has presented several noteworthy programs over the years, including:

  • Three professional development conferences featuring presentations from renowned integrative healthcare speakers
  • Two major community events presenting on integrative healthcare trends
  • Five series of community education sessions that presented 19 compelling topics across the range of integrative healthcare pillars (nutrition, activity, relief management, sleep, community, environment)
